So what’s Gokko / Gocco?
Riso released the Print Gocco back in 1977 - a wonderfully strange compact printing device. Without the need for a complete screen print setup, it made small scale printing super easy and sold over 10 million units worldwide, until production stopped in 2008.
Tracking down the discontinued screens and bulbs is now near impossible, so we’re excited to offer a nifty solution! Our kits arrive with your custom artworks pre-exposed onto mesh screens, housed in perfectly sized laser cut cardboard frames. They’ve been meticulously developed in-house at Duplikat and 100% exclusive - you won’t find them anywhere else.
The name Print Gocco is derived from the Japanese word gokko - loosely translated as make-believe play. Riso president Noboru Hayama explained, "We as kids learned rules and knowledge through make-believe play. The spirit of play is an important cultural asset. I thought that I wanted to leave 'play' in the product's name."

How do I enter?
Design a Halloween / spooky / eerie / sinister / creepy themed artwork, in two colours. The artwork can be an existing piece or new, but must be your own original work. We’re accepting any type of artwork whether it’s a drawing, photograph, linocut, etching, painting - but it needs to be able to be printed in two separate layers. You can use a combination of any two colours you like!
Your artwork can be landscape or portrait and must be 150 x 105mm in size. Supply files as grayscale or black & white PDF / JPG / PNGs - one layer per colour. You can download our templates if needed, or size the canvas yourself.
